White washed buildings in this picturesque place, known as one of Costa Blanca’s prettiest towns. Make sure you take a walk through the cobblestone streets, but wear comfortable shoes for the steep climbs. The views will be worth every step.

A gem of a tiny hilltop castle town boasting splendid views through the mountains out the sea, as well as a vibrant turqouise lake, Guadalest is a special and calming place worth a trip out of town.

Denia

Even though you can take a ferry from Denia straight to Ibiza (3hrs), Formentera (2.5 hours) or Mallorca (6hrs.) it’s worth enjoying this town and all that it has to offer. The newly opened Els Magazinos, a revival of a historic building that used to host the royals’ horse carts and horses has now been revitalized as a modern market space home to many restaurants and bars as well as local art galleries.

Visit the antiques and “rastro” traditional flea market that happens every Saturday in this vibrant inland town. Also a fantastic winery co-op perfect to buy your supply of local reds and fragrant white wines as well as locally produced vermut.
